I'm throwing this out there because it took me a while to find a suitable easy program and hopefully if others search and find this post they can narrow their search a little easier. At the moment I'm using the trial and it works just fine for what I need. Either way, it takes most of the effort out of it. Recording audio and live transcription are available in all Otter.ai plans, but only the Pro, Business, and Enterprise. Recording audio means making it in real-time, whereas import allows you to find previously recorded audio and upload it. Not every word is properly transcribed, this can either be due to car noises, the way I spoke a word or the program itself. Otter.ai offers users a way to either import or record MP3 files. I now can import the file and it transcribes it into text. This is incredibly helpful for me for when I'm driving and have story ideas or concept ideas that I voice into my phone. You can then either export the text file or simply copy and paste. Basically you input your audio file and it automatically begins to transcribe it into a text area below. Anyone heard of anything like that?ĮDIT: I just wanted to share what I found with you guys. Needless to say, it is suitable for everyone no matter what you need: an automatic or human speech. It's long and I was wondering if there's a program that can simply convert it to text for me. Summary: VoiceBase is a fast online audio to text converter. I have audio of an interview and need to convert it to text.
